ICAR- Veraval Research Centre of Central Institute of Fisheries Technology was set up in July 1962 to cater the research needs in the field of fishery technology of Gujarat State. The centre has its office cum laboratory building near Veraval harbour, Bhidia, Veraval. This research Centre has two sections, Fishing Technology and Fish Processing Technology, which caters to the harvesting and post-harvesting needs perceived by fish processing industry.
