Ready to serve fish curry

The proof of the pudding is in its eating. All fishing efforts ultimately aims at the fish consumer with a variety of choices and needs. Today, the busy homemaker throughout the world wants products which can be served off the shelf. The ready-to-serve fish curry in flexible packages developed by CIFT has shown very good acceptability in the domestic market and is under marketing trials overseas. A team of fish processing scientists led by Dr T.K.Srinivasa Gopal came out, for the first time in the country, with a curry in a package consisting of three layer configuration of polyester / aluminium foil / cast poly propylene developed by CIFT. The curry in pouch can keep well at room temperature for over one year. The flexible pouch is now being manufactured in India.
