ICAR-CIFT Partners with Doctor Millet Food Craft Private Limited for Innovative Seaweed-Infused Millet Gummies

The ICAR-Central Institute of Fisheries Technology (ICAR-CIFT), Kochi, has entered into a consultancy agreement with Doctor Millet Food Craft Private Limited, Ernakulam on 5^th February 2026 for the development of seaweed polysaccharide-incorporated millet-based functional gummies.

The consultancy aims to leverage ICAR-CIFT’s expertise in seaweed bioactives and food technology to develop innovative, value-added functional confectionery products combining the nutritional benefits of millets and seaweed-derived polysaccharides. The initiative is expected to promote the development of health-oriented, scientifically formulated functional foods catering to evolving consumer preferences.
