National Seminar on Chitin in Agriculture & Allied fields

 A large volume of waste is being generated from shell-fishes, which can be utilized to extract Chitin and its derivatives which finds wider application in various fields. Currently, a lot of importance is being given to secondary agriculture and in this background the seminar on the above topic assumes great importance. Eminent personalities working on chitin in different fields will be delivering lectures. The seminar is expected to bring together research scientists, academicians, entrepreneurs, students and farmers in one platform to discuss the latest issues on seminar topic. Around 175 to 200 delegates are expected to participate in the Seminar.

 

The Society of Fisheries Technologists (India), Cochin, National Academy of Agricultural Sciences (NAAS) Cochin chapter, Indian Chitin and Chitosan Society and ICAR-Central Institute of Fisheries Technology, Cochin are jointly organizing a one day Seminar on “Chitin in Agriculture, Medicine and Allied Fields” on 29th September 2015 at Central Institute of Fisheries Technology, Cochin, Kerala.

 

Expert speakers from different field of chitin research will be delivering talks in the seminar.
