Hands-on training on “Microbiological Quality Analysis of Seafood” at Veraval

 

A hands-on training programme on “Microbiological Quality Analysis of Seafood” was held from 26th August-31st August, 2019 at Veraval Research Centre of ICAR-CIFT. Sixteen technologists/quality managers from seafood processing establishments in Veraval and Porbander, Gujarat were trained on microbiological quality analysis of seafood and detection of seafood borne pathogens. Post-training, an examination was conducted to assess the effectiveness of the training programme and the toppers were facilitated.


Shri. Kenny Thomas, a leading exporter from Veraval, Gujarat (M/s. Jinny Marine Traders, Veraval) was the chief guest in the valedictory function. Dr. Divu D, Scientist-In-Charge, Veraval Research Centre of ICAR-CMFRI, offered felicitations. Dr. Ashsih Kumar Jha welcomed the gathering and Dr. Anupama. T.K proposed vote of thanks.  Dr. Toms C. Joseph, Scientist-In-Charge, Veraval Research Centre of ICAR-CIFT presided over the function. During the function, certificates were given away to the participants by the guests.
