CIFT TO CONDUCT FISHERIES BUSINESS MEET ‘AQUABIZ 2.0’ AT KOCHI

Kochi: In a bid to accelerate transformative growth in the fisheries sector, the Zonal Technology Management - Agribusiness Incubation Centre (ZTM-ABI) of ICAR-Central Institute of Fisheries Technology (CIFT), in association with AgrInnovate India, the IP&TM Unit of ICAR, and the National Fisheries Development Board, is set to host the business entrepreneurship meet, “AquaBiz 2.0.” The event will take place at Hotel Avenue Centre, Panampilly Nagar, Kochi, on March 18, 2025, at 9:00 AM.

AquaBiz 2.0 aims to explore the latest technologies from fisheries research institutes under ICAR, revolutionizing the fisheries and aquaculture sectors. The event will provide a platform for participants to connect with scientists and innovators behind these technologies, as well as with government agencies related to fisheries. Attendees will gain valuable insights and discover solutions that can transform their fisheries businesses.

The Technology Showcase at AquaBiz 2.0 will feature cutting-edge advancements in eco-friendly harvest technologies for the marine and aquaculture sectors, seed production and grow-out technologies, breeding and rearing of ornamental finfishes and shellfishes, cost-effective and nutritive fish feed formulations, diagnostics, vaccines, and disease management. Additionally, the event will highlight post-harvest technologies and value addition, nutraceutical products and high-value by-products, as well as technologies for fish waste utilization.

The summit is expected to attract a diverse range of stakeholders, including entrepreneurs, researchers, policymakers, and funding agencies, all seeking to drive innovation in the fisheries industry.
