
ICAR-Central Institute of Fisheries Technology (ICAR-CIFT), Kochi signed an agreement with Ilahia College of Engineering and Technology, Muvattupuzha, Ernakulam on May 13, 2026, to strengthen collaboration in food processing technologies and engineering innovation. ICET is a self-financing engineering institution established in 2002, approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated with APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, offering a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
The partnership focuses on advancing food processing technologies and developing innovative equipment, with special emphasis on automated quality assurance systems. It also promotes joint research initiatives and scientific knowledge exchange between the two institutions.
Additionally, the collaboration aims to provide students with valuable hands-on learning opportunities, enabling practical exposure to emerging technologies and strengthening industry-relevant skills in the engineering and food processing sectors.
