An online training programme on “Post-harvest fisheries engineering” was conducted at Engineering Division of ICAR-CIFT during 13-16 October 2020. Dr. Manoj P Samuel, Course Director and Head, Engineering Division, inaugurated the training virtually and explained the relevance of engineering interventions in fisheries. The training program was attended by 38students of KUFOS, Panangad. The training program covered areas related to pre-processing, drying, packaging, chilling, refrigeration and air conditioning, fishery waste management, instrumentation and energy and water optimization in sea-food industries. The sessions were handled by the resource persons from fish processing and engineering divisions. At the end of the training, certificates were issued to the participants.
