A training programme  on "purse seining aided power block" was organised by Fishing Technology Division CIFT from 10 to 13 April 2012.

Nine fishermen sponsored by the Directorate of Fisheries Goa,  attended a training programme.  The programme was inaugurated by the Dr. T. K. S. Gopal, Director CIFT . Dr. S. Balasubaramanium welcomed the trainees.Dr P. Pravin, Sr Scientist and Coordinator of the training programme gave a brief  about the training programme and Dr Leela Edwin Head (Fishing Technology Division) gave the vote of thanks. 

 

The  programme had both Theory and practical classes.  A fishing trip was also arranged on board purse seiner Bharat Darshan on 12th April 2012. 

 

After completion of the training programme, Dr. T. K. S. Gopal, Director, CIFT distributed the certificates  to the trainees on 13 April 2012
