ICAR-CIFT, Kochi signed MOU with KUFOS, Kerala

For strengthening the academic and research collaborations, ICAR-Central Institute of Fisheries Technology (CIFT), Kochi signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies (KUFOS), Kochi on 16^th November, 2016 in a special function organized at KUFOS, Panangad, Kochi. The function was inaugurated by Smt. J. Mercy Kutty Amma, Hon'ble Minister of Fisheries, Harbour Engineering and Cashew Industry, Govt. of Kerala and Hon'ble Pro-Chancellor, KUFOS in the presence of Adv. M. Swaraj , MLA & Senate Member, KUFOS as Guest of Honour; Smt. Sherly George, President, Kumbalam Gram Panchayath; Prof. (Dr.) A. Ramachandran, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, KUFOS; Prof. (Dr.) K. Padmakumar, Pro-Vice Chancellor, KUFOS; Dr. C.N. Ravishankar, Director, ICAR-CIFT, Kochi; Dr. A. Gopalakrishnan, Director, ICAR-CMFRI, Kochi  and Shri T. Mohandas, State Information Officer, NIC, Kerala as special guests on dais. Dr. C.N. Ravishankar, Director, ICAR-CIFT, Kochi exchanged the signed MOU with Dr. V.M. Victor George, Registrar, KUFOS in the presence of dignitaries on dais, faculties of KUFOS, HODs and scientists from ICAR-CIFT and ICAR-CMFRI and other invited guests. In his brief address Director, ICAR-CIFT assured for more intensification of linkage with all stakeholders in the field of fishing, fish harvesting, food safety and quality management across the sector in future, covering all the ecosystems like inland, marine and cold water.
