ICAR-CIFT, Cochin organised the ITEC programme on ‘Protocols for the production of high value secondary products from industrial fish and shellfish processing’ from 25th November 2019 to 21st December, 2019. The programme was sponsored by ITEC, Ministry of External Affairs, Govt. of India which was attended by 18 participants from 11 different ITEC partner countries namely, Sudan, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Argentina, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Oman, Botswana, Guatemala, Zimbabwe and Egypt. The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Meryl J. Williams, Former DG, World Fish Centre, Malaysia and Hon. Life Member Asian Fisheries Society (AFS), Chair, Gender in Aquaculture and Fisheries (GAFS) in presence of Director, ICAR-CIFT, Cochin Dr. Ravishakar C.N. along with Course Director of ITEC programme Dr. Ashok Kumar K, Head, Fish processing Division of ICAR- CIFT and ITEC Coordinator, ICAR-CIFT Dr. A K Mohanty"
