Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) training programme on ‘Technological interventions in Processing, value addition and Packaging of aquatic Resources’ was successfully conducted at ICAR-CIFT from 20th November - 08th December, 2023. The training was attended by 21 participants from 13 different countries viz. Cameroon, Kenya, Malawi, Malaysia, Maldives, Morocco, Nepal, Serbia, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda and, Zimbabwe.
The valedictory function arranged on 8th December, 2023 was presided over by Dr. George Ninan, Director, ICAR-CIFT. Dr. Bindu J., Head, Fish Processing Division and ITEC Course Director welcomed the gathering. Dr. Parvathy U, Senior Scientist, and programme co-ordinator gave a report on the training programme. A brief video on the different activities carried out during the training was presented. Feedback from the participants were taken and certificates were distributed. The course topics taken during the training were structured and organized in the form of training manual and was released by Director during the function. The programme concluded by vote of thanks by Dr. Nikita Gopal, Head, EIS division and ITEC programme Director.
