ICAR-CIFT Supports Odisha Fisheries Department in Training Fisheries Officials

As part of the Capacity Building Initiative, ICAR-CIFT, Kochi, organized a five-day hands-on training programme for 25 fisheries officials from various districts of Odisha. The training programme, held from November 10 to 14, 2025, focused on Advances in Fish Processing Technology . Through this training program, participants will gain knowledge about advanced thermal and non-thermal methods, packaging and testing, utilization of processing discards, and seafood quality assurance including FSSAI regulations. This joint effort also helped to strengthen the collaboration between ICAR-CIFT and the Odisha Fisheries Department, and enhanced the technical capabilities of officials to support post-harvest fisheries development in the state.
