Dr. A. Jeyakumari, Scientist, Fish Processing, Central Institute of Fisheries Technology, Cochin was deputed to Thailand to undergo a training programme on “Encapsulation of fish oil” at Kasetsart University, Thailand during 17-21December, 2012. Dr. Jeyakumari was selected for the ‘Peter Howgate Award for Young Fish Technologists-2012’, based on merit and her Ph.D. programme. The aim of the award was to support students, technologists and young scientists, to advance their international experience, with a view to developing their career, skills and knowledge in the field of fish technology. The training programme was carried out under the guidance of Dr. UtaiKlinkesorn, Assistant Professor, Department of Food Science and Technology, Faculty of Agro-Industry, Kasetsart University, Chatuchak, Bangkok, Thailand.
