An MoU was signed between the Visakhapatnam Research Centre of ICAR-CIFT and M/s Samudra Fish Workers Society, Mangamaripetta for the “Preparation of value added fish products” on 24 March, 2018. This has been undertaken as a part of the Institute Project “Evolving SMART EDP model for livelihood security of small scale fisherfolk through fish-preneurship”. The identified group is from a coastal village of Visakhapatnam district. Hands on skill development training programme for the fisherwomen of the Society was conducted on the preparation of specialty fish products like fish burgers, fish samosa, fish cutlets, fish fingers, stretched shrimp. The MoU was exchanged in presence of Dr. C.N. Ravishankar, Director ICAR-CIFT.
