Venue: CIFT, Cochin                                                                                                    Time: 10 A.M.

 

Eligible candidates are invited to attend a walk-in-Interview with all relevant documents for the temporary post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF)(on contractual basis) to work in the SERB funded project “Determining seasonal and spatial occurrence of multiclass endocrine disrupting chemicals in the fishes, crustaceans and molluscs of the Vembanad urban estuary: risk assessment by an untargeted metabolomics approach”. The duration of the project is up to 2022.

 

Junior Research Fellow - 1 post

Fellowship  :

Rs.31,000/- per month + HRA as admissible

Qualification :

First class Masters degree in the field of Chemistry/Applied Chemistry/Analytical Chemistry/Biochemistry/Industrial Chemistry/Industrial Fishery/Food Chemistry with any one of the following:

  1. National Eligibility Tests- CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE.
  2. National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc.

OR


Graduate/ Post Graduate degree in Professional Courses,particularly Agricultural Chemicals/Agricultural Chemistry/Chemical Engineering/Biochemistry/Fish Nutrition/Food Chemistry/ Dairy Chemistry/Fish Processing Technolog with any one of the following:

  1. National Eligibility Tests- CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE.
  2. National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc.
Desirable :

Excellent writing and communication skill in English.Prior experience with chromatographic and mass spectrometric instruments will be an added advantage.

Requirement :

Work involves extensive travel, collection of samples, sample preparation, writing of reports, preparation of consumable indents, managing the stock of consumables etc.

Age limit  :   Maximum of 35 years for men and 40 years for women as on date of interview

 

Recruitments are in accordance with DST OM No. SR/S9/Z-08/2018 dated 30.01.2019

 

Terms & Conditions:

 

  1. Registration will begin at 9.00 a.m. and will close at 11.30 a.m.
  2. Age limit (as on 22/04/2019) :  Below 35 years for men and 40 years for women.  
  3. Age relaxation of 3 years for OBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates is permissible.
  4. Candidate should possess 1st class or 60% marks or equivalent overall GPA
  5. Candidates are required to submit attested copies of all the Certificates in support of their claims regarding age, educational qualifications, Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe/OBC etc. The original certificates shall be produced for verification before the interview.
  6. Candidates should bring detailed bio-data (in the enclosed format) affixing a recent passport size photograph
  7. The selected candidate will be recruited on contract basis under ICAR norms. The post is purely temporary and is co-terminus with the project.
  8. The candidate attending the interview should ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility conditions. No correspondence will be entertained from the candidates for selection/test/appointment
  9. No TA/DA will pay to attend the interview.
  10. Canvassing in any form will render the candidate disqualified for the post.
  11. The Director’s decision will be final and binding in all aspects regarding the selection to the post.
